The amazing architectural construction can be summed up in one word: kingposts.
The roof of the Olympic grounds has ten of them. It also has 12 main supports, 36 masts, 415 kilometres of steel cables, woven into a truss consisting of half a million knots, covered with thousands upon thousands of acrylic glass squares. Kingposts. Incredible! It is Germany's most wonderful building.
