Old trick: If you have nothing more to say to the person you are with (colleagues, relatives, acquaintances of acquaintances), you can produce technical equipment from your pocket (mobile phones, palm-top computers, mini-discplayers etc.) and use the right jargon to talk about them. Usually, such conversations last much longer than you were planning. That is not the case with this camera: It has an aluminium case instead of plastic (rippled for a good grip), clear lines, round buttons and square body. It takes good pictures. No frills. That's it.
