Salwa is a young Tunisian student. She is in love with Ahmadou from Burkina Faso, who studies at the same university. She is fraught with the wish to introduce her true love to her family, yet she is worried that racism could be a problem. Therefore the couple decide to introduce Ahmadou as a hopeful football player with the perspective of playing for Bayern Munich soon. Only because her father is a football fan and because her brother wants to emigrate to Germany, do the parents consent to a marriage. Yet the mother remains solidly hostile. Eventually the scheme is disclosed, but the love they share crows over all obstacles.
