Application requirements
The competition is open to filmmakers who:
- have not made more than one long feature film
- are currently resident in an African country or are nationals of an African country
- a one page exposé for a short film dealing with one or both of the competition themes
- a film, or excerpt from a film, directed by the entrant not less than one minute in length and not exceeding five minutes
- a current curriculum vitae of the director
- a current curriculum vitae of the producer
- a completed entry form
- a budget
- production schedule
- signed release form
The competition is a pan-African competition, encompassing all African countries. For administrative purposes the competition is divided into five different regions, each with its own regional office.
