Biography of ATAK (Georg Barber)
- born in Frankfurt/Oder in 1967
- 1984–86, trained as a graphic artist
- 1989, founding member of the Renate comic group and magazine
- 1990–95, studied at the HdK Berlin, Visual Communication
- now living and working as an artist and comic illustrator in Berlin and Stockholm
- 1997 recipient of a financial award from the Cultural Fund Trust
- 2002 Guest Lecturer of Illustration at the University of the Arts, Berlin
- 2002-04 Lecturer of Drawing and Illustration at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences
- 2003 Guest Professor, Pentiment, 16th International Summer Academy of Art and Design, Hamburg
- 2004 member of the AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale)
- 1993, L/M Comic-Förderpreis, Hamburg
- 2000, Berliner Zeitung critics’ prize
