Comic Grant to Be Awarded

Creating a good comic requires not only an interesting story, but perseverance as well. However, since only a tiny minority of comic artists are able to earn a living from their art and devote themselves to a project on a long-term basis, the Ehapa Comic Collection has announced a grant for comics.

Emerging young artists, students and professional authors are offered a chance to realise or complete a comic project.

The grant comprises 5,000 € in financial support – and publication of the project by Ehapa Verlag. Any style, any format is accepted. Only the theme has been set: “Homeland 2.0.”

Jury members include the artists and Sarah Burrini, as well as the journalists Klaus Schikowski and Lars von Törne.
