Christophe Badoux created this comic for the Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern. He engrossingly presents the biography of the painter Paul Klee (1879 – 1940) in the “clean line style” deriving from the tradition of Franco-Belgian comics. The reader passes through eventful historic epochs and important milestones in the painter’s life.

    Zürich: Edition Moderne, 2002. 40 p.

Operation “Roter Zipfel” was actually supposed to become an animated film. But then it was turned into a comic-book with Christophe Badoux as artist: a very successful comic that parodies Swiss fears of foreign cooptation of their cultural assets such as chocolate, cheese, raclette, or in this case, garden gnomes. To protect Switzerland from foreign products, the garden gnomes demand the destruction of all non-Swiss products.
