Biography Arne Bellstorf
- Born in Danneberg in 1979
- 2000, started his studies in Communication Design at Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften in Hamburg
- From 2002, started self-publishing his comics; joined the ORANG group and magazine
- 2004, founded the Kiki Post publishing house with Sascha Homer
- 2005, graduated with his thesis acht, neun, zehn
- Lives in Hamburg
- Since 2006, regular contributions to the series ‘Drawn from Life’ in the Tagesspiegel on Sundays
Awards and prizes:
- 2005, Bernd-Pfarr-Sondermann Prize as best newcomer, awarded by Frankfurter Rundschau and Comixene at the Frankfurt Book Fair
- 2006, ICOM Independent Comic Prize for acht, neun, zehn as best independent comic, awarded at the International Comic Salon in Erlangen
- since 2009 strip “Zugabe” in ZEIT Geschichte
- lives and works in Hamburg
