Loriot, alias Vicco von Bülow
- Born 12 November 1923 in Brandenburg an der Havel
- Studied painting and drawing at the Hamburger Landeskunstschule
- Active as a cartoonist starting in 1950 1954 publication of his first cartoon volume Auf den Hund gekommen
- 1967 launching of the television programme Cartoon with sketches and animated films by Loriot
- Major success with his feature films Ödipussi (1988) and Pappa ante portas (1991)
- Died 22 August 2011 in Ammerland am Starnberger See
