- freelance work for various Berlin publishing houses
- 1955–57, quarterly magazine with picture stories for Neues Leben publishing house, with the title Mosaik von Hannes Hegen
- 1957–75, monthly episodes of the Digedags comic series in Mosaik von Hannes Hegen
- also worked for other magazines, such as Frischer Wind
- now lives a secluded life in Berlin, only going out incognito
