The body of the student Sonja Jung is recovered from the river Weser. Did the work on her thesis really drive her to commit suicide?

Her father Hanno Jung doesn’t believe it did, and turns to Josch Adamis of the Bremen police force. This is the start of an unusual search for clues, as the inspector realizes that a blind man has become his inofficial partner in his search. In their own ways, both of them start to uncover the secret lying buried in Bremen’s academic and business circles.

They find out that Sonja’s thesis was about much more than just an eyewitness report from the Nazi era.
