Work focuses on political economy, literary non-fiction, children’s culture, Bremensien (a term used to denote works of art and literature, customs, activities and so on that are connected with the city of Bremen), biographies and feature programmes

Co-founder of the Bremer Literaturkontor e.V (Bremen Literature Bureau) in 1983. He remained owner until 2005, and has since acted as chairman, focusing especially on the literary promotion activity of the association.

Travel grant from the German Foreign Office; Bremen Prize for the promotion of youth work.

Member of the jury on the Bremen Children and Young Persons’ Literature Prize.
