    Gained doctorate in Egyptian Cinema

    Long-serving Middle East correspondent for weekly newspaper Die Zeit

    Commentator on matters relating to the Middle East, the Arab world and Islam in the German, Swiss and Austrian media – including ARD, ZDF, RTL, SAT 1, 3sat, N24, n-tv, Spiegel-TV, and numerous ARD radio programmes as well as private radio stations

    Writer for the newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau

    Member of the advisory board for the Turkish business association ‘Tüsiad’

    Presentations on investment opportunities in the Arab world
