Alois Prinz

The author was born in Wurmannsquick, a town in Lower Bavaria, in 1958. He studied German, political science, philosophy and communication sciences in Munich and trained as a journalist. In 1988 he completed a doctorate with a thesis on the 1968 student movement and its influence on literature.
Alois Prinz worked as a freelance journalist until 1994 and wrote several scientific texts. Today he concentrates mainly on writing biographies for young readers and adults (e.g. Franz Kafka, Ulrike Meinhof, Hermann Hesse). He has received many awards for his works.
Alois Prinz lives with his family near Munich.
