Patricia Schröder was born in the Wesermarsch region in northern Germany in 1960 and grew up in Düsseldorf. After starting an apprenticeship as a tailor, she gained college entrance at a vocational secondary school for textile design. Afterwards she studied textile design and worked in that profession for several years.
Her first teen novel, "Bis über beide Ohren", was published in 1998. Since then she has published numerous novels for children and teens.
Since 1993 Patricia Schröder has lived with her family on the North Sea coast.
