Jochen Till was born in Frankfurt in 1966. After completing secondary school he began pursuing a degree in British and American studies and German in Frankfurt, but did not graduate.
As of 1995 he worked in a comic store in Frankfurt and wrote in his spare time. He has devoted himself to his writing on a full-time basis since 2000.
Since the publication of his first book for teens, "Der junge Sonnenschein" in 1997 Jochen Till has published more than a dozen other books.
