Susanne Janssen

Susanne Janssen was born in Aachen in 1965 and studied graphic arts and design with Wolf Erlbruch at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. Her first picture book, "Die Wette, wer zuerst wütend wird", a fairy tale by Italo Calvino, was published in 1994 and nominated for the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis. She has won awards for many of her books.
Susanne Janssen-Mechler now lives with her family and works as a graphic artist in the Alsace region in France.
