Sabine Wilharm was born in 1954. Since completing her studies in illustration at the College of Design in Hamburg in 1976, she has worked as an illustrator, creating images mainly for books for young readers.
She also draws comic strips and caricatures for magazines such as "Manager Magazin" and "Stern", occasionally works for television and creates book covers – including all seven volumes for the German edition of "Harry Potter", which has made her work familiar to a wide readership. Today Sabine Wilharm lives and works as a freelance illustrator in Hamburg.
