Moks Bremen was set up in 1977. It is the children’s and youth theatre section of Theater Bremen with its own performance venue and workshop. With its ensemble of four actors, supplemented by guest performers, Moks produces four or five new productions each year, often in cooperation with authors who write plays especially for Moks. Artistically, Moks stages modern, ambitious theatre. It always has its eyes open for new forms of expression and works with artists from related genres. School groups from Bremen can attend Moks’ performances free of charge, which is unique in Germany.

At Moks’ “Junge Akteure” theatre school, which was founded in 2005, children and young people can make theatre themselves with professional instruction. As well as weekly courses and holiday activities, young people can also take part in ambitious theatre projects and performances which are outstanding for their high artistic quality and have received many awards.
