Oliver Bukowski

Oliver Bukowski was born in Cottbus in 1961. After passing his school-leaving examinations, he read Philosophy from 1985 to 1990, specialising in social psychology from 1987 onwards (his dissertation was entitled “Concepts of modern motivation theory”). He then became a doctoral student of sociology at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Bukowski co-initiated and founded the THEATERLOGE association. He abandoned his research studies in November 1991 to work as a freelance writer. He lives in Berlin.

Since 1996, he has lectured on the "Scenic Writing" course at the University of the Arts in Berlin. From 1999, he has been a visiting professor for Scenic Writing/Textwork, currently working at the University of Zürich, in Graz and for radio play conferences.
