Albert Ostermaier was born in Munich in 1967. In 1990 he was awarded the Munich literary scholarship. During the theatrical season 1996-1997 he was playwright-in-residence at the Nationaltheater in Mannheim. In 1997-1998 he was commissioned to write a play for the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Bertolt Brecht‘s birth. During the 1999-2000 season he was playwright-in-residence at the "Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel" |
