Agneta Fagerström-Olsson

*1948 in Tullinge, near Stockholm

Agneta Fagerström-Olsson is a producer, director and screenplay writer. She studied literature, drama and theatre at the University of Uppsala and literature and philosophy in Aix-en-Provence. In 1986, she gave her debut as a director with “Seppan”, based on her childhood experiences in Tullinge. Her ten-year cooperation with screenplay writer Peter Birro has resulted in numerous award-winning films, including a trilogy produced for Swedish television. In addition, Agneta Fagerström has won the Prix Italia, the Prix Europa, and the Bergman Prize. She is currently working on her new film, “Paradisets barn”, as screenwriter and director.
