Almir Imširević studied dramaturgy at the Academy of the Performing Arts in Sarajevo. His piece “If this were a performance…” won the Golden Mask at the MESS 1999 International Theatre Festival. Since then his works have been staged in Avignon, Paris, Split, Freney-Voltaire, Lausanne, Bonn, Ljubljana and Belgrade. His play “The Balkan’s Devil Shame” was published in 2007 in “De Pinter a Muller” (Michel Corvin), a French anthology of European plays. Almir Imširević is the director of the OBALA art centre in Sarajevo.
