International Theatre and Dance Residencies in Germany

Many artists’ houses in Germany support international professional theatre-makers, directors, dramatists, dancers and choreographers by making accommodation, studios and – frequently – working grants available to them for a limited time.

In individual cases, the grants include the opportunity for performances, discussions or workshops. Artists’ houses are a place for international encounters and the exchange of culture and ideas.

The selected institutions are arranged according to Federal Land and are introduced with a brief commentary. Information on the focus of support, specifications, length of stay and application formalities provide further orientation. Quick access to up-to-date information is ensured with links to the relevant homepages.
