Dancer and choreographer Isabelle Schad lives in Berlin. She studied Classical Dance in Stuttgart from 1981 to 1990. Subsequently, she danced with various ballet companies before joining Ultima Vez / Wim Vandekeybus in Brussels in 1996. In 1999, she began creating her own projects in cooperation with other choreographers, performers, musicians and visual artists and toured them internationally. In 2003, she co-founded the international artist network Good Work together with Bruno Pocheron and Ben Anderson, with whom she produced the “Still Lives” series in various European cities.
She is also a member of the “Praticable” open collective with Frédéric de Carlo, Frédéric Gies and Odile Seitz. Most recently, she cooperated with Laurent Goldring on the solo “Unturtled” and with Simone Aughterlony on “Sweet Dreams Are Made”. In addition, she has been involved with the Balkan independent dance scene for many years and also holds workshops.
