InDaZ-Studie (InDaZ project)

The study “Research and documentation regarding the language requirements for integration courses in German as a second language” (InDaZ) was produced in 2007 as part of the Goethe-Institut’s work on the development of the framework curriculum for integration courses . In all, 37 course participants and around 60 teachers and staff working for language course providers were surveyed. In identifying the most important areas of language usage, the study revealed a particular need for language skills in the following areas: “Life with children” (school, pre-school), “Dealing with the authorities”, “Medical matters” and “Looking for work”. These and other findings were then incorporated into the Framework Curriculum.
