Today Berlin is again the center of political decision-making in Germany, and with EU enlargement it has shifted to the heart of Europe. The 180 nationalities making up the population give the city a cosmopolitan and European feel. The 14 public colleges and universities have approximately 142,000 students, and Berlin is becoming a focal point for science and innovation. At the same time, Berlin offers an unparallelled cultural scene with some 170 museums, 150 theaters, 165 cinemas, eight symphony orchestras and three opera houses.

You are invited to discover the already legendary pub scene, restaurants, cafés, clubs and the plentiful green space in the city as well as the culture and scenery in the area surrounding Berlin.
