Type PL/DL: Language learning for teachers at the primary level (PL) and from the secondary level upward (DL).

Select courses from the Language learning category if you want to improve your language skills and become more confident in using German as a classroom language.

At the same time you will gain a broader knowledge of German society and culture as well as acquiring new methodologies and teaching skills.

The open instruction concept takes into account the feedback we have received, based on the wishes and experience of the participants from all over the world.

Language prerequisites

    For PL:
    Language skills at Level A2/B1 of the Common European Reference Framework for Languages (GER)
    For DL:
    Language skills at B2 (up to the beginning of C1) of the Common European Reference Framework for Languages (GER)

Course objectives

  • Improved language skills through systematic instruction
  • Building the language resources you need in the classroom
  • New approaches to the methodology and theory of teaching German as a foreign language

Course contents

  • 30 units of instruction per week (Mon. – Fri.)
  • Self-study in the media resource center
  • Saturday excursion
  • Optional participation in the Goethe-Institut cultural and leisure-time program
