Politicians, rebels and romantics. Everyone had the chance to try out their rhetorical skills, speaking off the cuff in front of the camera.
And more than 50 courageous speakers did just that in the Academy of Arts.
In the evening, there was a reception at which the prizes were ceremonially awarded by the jury. The members of the jury were Prof. Dr. Jutta Limbach (President of the Goethe-Institut), Dr. Heinz-Rudi Spiegel (Donors’ Association for the Promotion of the Sciences and Humanities in Germany), Sabine Hartert (Deutsche Welle) and Dr. Katharina von Ruckteschell (Goethe-Institut).
The winners
All four of the winners, Sean Prieske from Bad Oldesloe, Ana Maria Baracaldo from the USA, Lucie Maignan from France and Hanna Leibold from Berlin, are still school students, and they impressed the jury with their authenticity.
