„Schule im Wandel“ is a training programme for teachers who teach German as a foreign language in secondary schools, as well as people involved in teacher training and further education of teachers.
In addition, films and documentation on innovative teaching and stimulating school concepts and projects have been made in four European countries. The idea is to fuel the current debate on school and education in Europe.
All materials can be obtained free of charge from training and further education institutions and used for your own activities. To do so in Germany, Finland, Ireland, Poland, Portugal and the Czech Republic, please contact the respective project partner or the nearest Goethe-Institut. You can also obtain details from the Goethe-Institut head office.
You will find a Guest access point on our Moodle learning platform, for which you need the username "siw.gast" and the password "goethe". This will allow you to log into a "Schule im Wandel" course room and view all course material, including the films, at your leisure. All interested training and further education institutions can integrate these materials with the films free of charge into their own learning platforms and thus design courses for their own target groups.

Further training course
The "Schule im Wandel" further training course provides a vocational further training course for teachers who teach German as a foreign language. Its core component and most important input is short films from Germany that show scenes from schools, lesson excerpts and educational concepts and projects. More... 
Films
Films were recorded at ten German schools within the framework of the project. Some of the films show selected lesson sequences from Classes 5 to 13 (ages 10-18). Particular attention is given to foreign language teaching. More...

„Schule im Wandel“ for attendance training courses
For training courses in which computers and the Internet cannot be used, the Goethe-Institut has also created a DVD containing all films. For training courses of this nature that require attendance, handouts for workshop leaders, including worksheets, were developed and everything is available on a CD-ROM in PDF format to be printed.
