14.11.-20.12.2026
The Science Film Festival Myanmar 2026 marks the 15th edition of the festival, continuing its mission of promoting science education and engagement among young audiences in Myanmar since 2012. The festival is planned to take place from 14 November to 20 December 2026, with physical screening sessions from 14 November to 28 November organized in collaboration with local partners.

Under the theme “Artificial Intelligence”, the festival presents a selection of international films that explore the opportunities and challenges of one of the most influential technologies shaping our future. Through inspiring stories and educational content, the festival encourages audiences to discover how science and technology can contribute to sustainable development and improve everyday life.

Despite the difficult circumstances and ongoing challenges in Myanmar, the festival continues to be driven by a network of active, enthusiastic, talented and dedicated young people who are committed to making the 15th edition a success, just as they have done in previous years. Their resilience, creativity, and passion, together with the support of local partners, make it possible to continue bringing science learning opportunities to children, students, educators and communities across the country.

To maximize accessibility, selected films will be made available in the Myanmar language. However, due to limited resources, not all films can be translated and some titles will be screened in their original language with English subtitles. The screenings will be complemented by educational activities and discussions designed to foster curiosity, critical thinking and engagement with scientific topics. Through collaboration with educational institutions, community organizations, youth networks and local partners, the festival aims to extend its reach beyond Yangon and continue inspiring young audiences throughout Myanmar through science, education and innovation.
