Journalists’ Exchange Nahaufnahme (Close-Up)

Journalists from Germany and other countries swap their workplaces and residences for two to four weeks. They report on their impressions of the new locale with an outside perspective and journalistic curiosity.

The next exchange will take place from November 2014 with the focus on four countries in the Arabic World. Participating partner media and journalists will be announced soon.

Twenty journalists from Germany, Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and Hungary took part in the last round. One reported about non-existent Slovenian citizens, another wrote a Berlin journal, and yet another interviewed a Belgian filmmaker who plans to launch a TV series about the European Parliament.
