Ahmad Shahin Omar Boflot Y crew

Ahmad Shahin Omar Boflot Y crew

The beginning was in 1998 when Omar and Yassin met each other in Alexandria, Egypt ... Omar started rapping since 1995 in Ghana in English ... Later on they formed a rap crew but it was only using English and French Lyrics
And then it began.
The possibilities were very weak, where they used to record their songs on cassettes ... and then the evolution of Thread-developed.. and a lot of their friends joined the team ... and named the band (da Strangrz) 1999 to 2002 ... and has been a lot of work of English songs and Arabic and French and Omar aka Boflot was responsible for all the music production... and after several years the team collapsed and only Yassin and Omar was still there to continue what they started, and they formed a new rap band called Y-Crew but this time they are gonna rap in Arabic which made them the first rap/hiphop group in Egypt but this does not prevent the interference of some foreign languages.
In 2003, the team had completed his first album consisting of several songs
In 2005, the Y-Crew created another independent band named (Y-Crew Family) and "Shahin" was one of the members since 2006 and the success of this band lasted until 2010 when some of its members was starred in the movie “Microphone” and until 2012 when the entire band disintegrated after the events of the revolution to their preoccupation with the conditions of life untill Boflot and Shahin gathered again to complete the journey of Y-Crew in 2014.

The story of the Y-Crew and hip-hop/rap in the city of Alexandria begins in Omar Boflots’ flat, converted into a private recording studio, in the district of Victoria (فيكتوريا). For more than a decade, the one-room flat has been a meeting point for the scene, and it is from here that even today, up and coming talent like Ahmad Shahin is fostered, even though there is now a separate recording studio.
