Mo Ali is a very popular Sudanese singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Heavily influenced by Bob Marley, he shifted from rap to reggae music. Mo Ali returned to Sudan after finishing high school in UAE, and began playing guitar during his college years.
That's where he met a group of young guys who shared the same passion for reggae music. In 2010, they created a band called Sudan Roots Band, performing their own songs and Bob Marley covers to great acclaim. Besides playing all over Khartoum, Mo Ali is also host ofa radio show for reggae music.
LOCATION: Jazz Café
Jazz Cafe was established in 2016 as a space to support musicians and creatives in Khartoum. The café has since become the hottest place in town for concerts and events.
