For its professional music projects abroad, the Goethe-Institut develops, organizes and selects artists for concerts, master classes, workshops and symposia in virtually every music genre. Assisted by a volunteer advisory committee, the Goethe-Institut’s Music department in Munich advises the Institutes abroad, which in turn plan their music programmes in concert with various local partners.
Professional German musicians and ensembles are welcome to submit information material and a recent CD recording to the Goethe-Institut. The Music section will receipt the documents and contact you if an opportunity for an engagement arises. Given the large number of incoming submissions, we ask that you refrain from making follow-up inquiries and we regret that we cannot return any material received.
In addition, the German Foreign Office provides a travel allowance through the Goethe-Institut for concerts and short-term residencies abroad by professional musicians even if the Goethe-Institut is not directly involved
