Snow-covered palm trees were last seen here in January 2002. Where is it? If you guess correctly, you will receive a personal holiday card from this city. However, that is only the beginning. Every Monday in Advent, we will give you a new nut to crack – or rack your brains on.
Light a candle on Sunday, see the light on Monday: four times over the coming weeks we will show you a picture of a city where the Goethe-Institut is represented. The staff on location chose it for you with lots of loving care as a low-calorie nut to crack for the Advent season. Everyone who cracks it will receive post from the city, written personally by the Goethe-Institut’s language students. The German learners are also looking forward to your reply: if you wish, you can thank them via email.
By the way, we will announce the solution to the puzzle next Monday. You can send us your guess until then, but please only send one each per city.
So, what is the name of this winter wonderland?
This quiz is already over. The correct answer was Izmir. To see the next picture in our Advent quiz, click here.
