Mauricio’s Multi Instrument
What do a bicycle, a sewing machine and a piano have in common? They all make New Music! Along with 200 other resonators, they are part of the “dependent automatophone”, designed by the Argentine-German composer Mauricio Kagel in the early 1970s for his TWO-MAN ORCHESTRA for two ONE-MAN ORCHESTRAS. In November, the musical tandem could also be admired for the first time in Kagel’s native country of Argentina.
