Umbrella Music
The weather gods were merciful and the predicted rain did not fall. So, "Prototype", the first art festival for sustainability, was able to take place on the former rubbish tip in the centre of São Paulo. At a workshop with Niklas Roy, an “inventor of useless things,” as he describes himself, “umbrellaphones” were produced that, using wind energy, play various melodies. While listening to the tunes, visitors to a collective picnic also heard talks on the environment and afterwards composted their organic rubbish themselves.Check it: Goethe Scenes are now
available for the first time to nail to the wall. We put together twelve of
the best Goethe Scenes as a calendar for the year 2013. The exclusive
calendar is not available in shops, but the first ten readers to send an e-mail with the
words “Szenen-Kalender” in the subject line to oeffentlichkeitsarbeit@
goethe.de, will receive it as a late Christmas present over the coming weeks delivered free to their doors. And don't forget to tell us your address!
