In the Minotaur’s Lair
Or so some visitors must have felt at the sight of this odd creature at the first Montevideo Biennial. But, the art exhibition focussed not on the fauna of the country, but on “The Great South”. Roughly fifty artists looked in this direction and the results were films, installations, performances and videos – in addition to this quite human species of cattle.
