Hands-On Mathematics
“Inchworm, inchworm...” When kids and mathematics meet, it is sometimes as strenuous as the inchworm measuring the marigold in the old tune. Numbers and formulas are what it’s all about and there is not much leeway for play. Yet children prefer to make the world the way they like. Maths can be a lot like play as the exhibition at the Goethe-Institut Moscow showed. The motto, Hands-On Mathematics, was not just for kids either.Supported by the Federal Foreign Office
