Underground Movement
In the Los Angeles subway, dancers convey the idea of hubs and turning points in urban traffic. The admission ticket is merely a valid fare card. The questions: is there a science of the street and how does mobility work in a city full of hectic, traffic jams and five-lane intersections? The performance by choreographer Stephan Koplowitz, Red Line Time, was a contribution by the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles to re:street, a conference on urban development.
