Faith, Love, Desperation

Unpredictable desperados on the run after a bank heist. Brutal, sex-obsessed drug addicts, they are the “heroes” of a society built on violence. Money Burns deals with one of Latin America’s greatest problems while presenting people who are actually only in search of love and happiness. Two famous Mexican wrestlers, the luchadores Tinieblas Jr. and Marabunta Jr., translate this contradiction in the play. Created in Mexico City and Berlin, the theatrical road movie premiered at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin.
