A Matter of Taste
The background looks Chinese, the woman is American, the language she’s learning is German. Language course students at the Goethe-Institut San Francisco wrote their favourite German words and cities on cardboard signs for a symbolic hitchhike to Germany. Robin, here shown in San Francisco’s Chinatown, chose “Chocolate in Lübeck,” explaining “German is the best-tasting language in the world. That’s why learning and speaking is always such a pleasant experience.”
