Changing the Map
Far too many cars are parked here for it to be a pedestrian zone, but too few are moving for it to be a proper street. And for a dog park, the panting observer ascertains, there is definitely not enough grass. What we see here is an undefinable urban something, as is seen in Bangalore only too often, according to many of its residents. In the experiment „The NextBangalore“ they are now being called on to re-design the map of the southern Indian city. “What Bangalore needs today are fewer gated communities and malls and more integrated communities,” is one of the more than 100 suggestions.
