Summer Holidays

Mohammed Adel Al Sheikh spends his summer holidays in Baltim at the Egyptian shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Here he was able to take this picture of a rider on the beach, which he submitted to the Li-lak photo competition and which gained him the award. During the holiday season everything on the Goethe-Institut’s German-Arabic youth web page revolves around travelling. Young people from Germany and the Arabic countries report about their journeys around the globe – from Anatolia via Israel to Vietnam. They tell of exciting encounters with natives and fellow travellers, of the various ways to travel from point A to point B, and about the world-tour as a trip to self-discovery.
