Cultural Balancing Act

Physical tension, balance, rhythm – for months, the dancers in Côte d´Ivoire practiced until late in the night. In the capital city of Abidjan, director Monika Gintersdorfer and artist Knut Klassen examined the melting pot of West African culture in an intercultural dialogue. Together with Ivorian artists and German guests, they produced performances, concerts and films for the Rue Princessa Festival. Photographs and video recordings of the festival as well as live performances will be shown from 2 until 4 September 2010 at the House of World Cultures in Berlin and from 7 until 9 October 2010 at the Kampnagel in Hamburg.
