Sound Meets Space

Art, music and science: these are the crossing points of Carsten Nicolai’s work. Also known under the pseudonyms noto and alva noto as a musician, his works are a blend of sound, light, time and space. Sound becomes visible, light frequencies are made audible. The German artist is among the most fascinating representatives of the international electronic scene with his audiovisual installations. An installation with a parachute lends its name to the exhibition Pioneer. The exhibition will be presented until 13 March 2011 by the Goethe-Institut Vilnius in the Vilnius Contemporary Art Centre.
