Waiting in Auckland

Saturday night in Auckland, searching for an answer: In one of the places with “perhaps the highest concentration of intoxication in the city,” the New Zealand team of the "Cityscapes" project captured this nightly kerbside scene. As in Auckland, every month for one year in a total of twelve cities, 36 project bloggers are dealing with an urban theme that affects young people around the world. One recent theme was Sex in my City – How prudish are we? For Cityscapes, the Goethe-Instituts in Auckland, Bangkok, Berlin, Hanoi, Istanbul, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Prague, Saigon, Singapore and Sydney each sent a team of journalists, artists and writers out onto the streets.
