Fragmented Dance
Insinuating spoonerisms, staccato words, embraces, impetuous clapping and stomping in time – the dancers of the Forsythe Company prance about wildly and take up the microphone in the strangest formations. Limbs interlace and come undone. Language and dance in the production Yes we can’t are fragmentary; there appears to be no coherence. It will be presented from 3 until 5 July as the German contribution to the 2011 Hellenic Festival in Athens.
