Lights out!
A windowless room. It is dark. Two boxes produce a theatrical play of light. Equipped inside with mirrors and light bulbs, they reflect countless light rays into the room. The installation by Kitty Kraus is one of four art projects that can be viewed at the Goethe-Institut New York until 22 December. „We would provide complete darkness“, promise ten artists from Belgium, Germany, Mexico and the USA. In the exhibition, they illuminate the significance of motion, order, proportion and orientation – and require complete darkness.
